| Using patch tool to clone
areas of an image |
In this tutorial we'll show you how to use patch tool to clone areas of an image. The advantage of patch tool over stamp tool is that it also adjust lights and shadows automatically while cloning. We'll use image of a lotus pond to show you this technique. The right bottom portion of the image has no flowers. We'll add flowers to this portion using patch tool. |

Use patch tool to draw a selection area in the right bottom portion of the image. |

| With patch tool still enabled drag this selection to the source area i.e. an area with flowers. As soon as you drag this selection, our target area is filled with a flower. |

| Similarly clone a couple of more flower to fill this area. |

| Patch tool has adjusted lights and shadows automatically while cloning the flowers. |
